Brief Description of FORTAN Unit Operation
FORTAN pyrolysis units are equipped with two retorts made of heat-resistant stainless steel. The pyrolysis module is insulated with ceramic fiber and refractory concrete, ensuring safe operation due to the low outer surface temperature. The retort lid has a hermetic seal that prevents gas leaks and eliminates smoke.
Control and monitoring systems allow precise operation adjustments. For safety, the units feature an explosion-proof valve and an emergency gas pressure relief system. Compact dimensions and flange connections make installation and dismantling quick and convenient. The units are suitable for transportation by any means and require minimal site preparation.
The processing begins with loading raw materials into the retort. After placing the retort in the furnace, the material is heated to 450-600°C. As a result of thermal decomposition, a vapor-gas mixture is formed, which is directed to a heat exchanger for condensation and separation into liquid and gas. The carbon residue is removed from the retort, and a new batch of raw materials is loaded.
